June / July
To the few that keep track of this blog, it's been a while, sorry about that, I've been doing what I seem to do best this time of the year, overwork myself.
It's been a long two months at the office of late nights, deliverance food delivery and late night mini cab rides home to London City Airport, which seems to be a non-favourite destination for the cab companies in West London ( being that we're all the way out in the East side ).
Me and Grieks did enjoy a really nice sunny day out in Brighton ( south of England) at the beach last Sunday, photos are to be located here and here [Grea's pictures].
Other than that Pamela went to Zimbabwe for some work, Jaco's still looking around for a job ( although he's sorting an interview soon [this week, but I'll let him update you on that one]).
As most would have seen July has also been a sad month for the Groenewald family (and assortment of other people) who knew little Cledan, she's gone to the big kennel in the sky. We're all missing her something bad, but also remembering the great times with her around the house, out to Kleinbaai and going for walks.
Things to look forward in the next few months :
August is fairly quiet, but that's just the quiet before the storm. In September Grea's parents are coming to visit in London for about 10 days from the 10th to the 19th of Sept, after which we ( myself and Grea) will be leaving for the Red Sea to go scuba diving, we'll be living onboard this boat for 6 days and nights, can't wait. It's all been paid for and the only things we'd need to sort out is visas when we arrive in Egypt and possibly getting shorty wetsuites for myself and Grea.
Things with work are starting to normalise ( in regards to leaving the office at around 17:30 or so), and I have accepted a month extention on my contract, with good possibility for extention beyond that to the end of October.
There hasn't been much time for deep contemplation lately, which might be a good or bad thing, hopefully in the weeks to come there'll be some reflective time.
Hoping to visit Stonehenge in the near future, as it should be a nice photo oppurtunity. Next weekend is the London leg of the Red Bull Air Races, happening literally outside our flat (with London City Airport as base) and the O2 (ex Millenium) dome as the center focus of the races. I've won qualifying tickets for the Saturday so we'll be heading out there on Sat with the cameras and possibly go stand on the foot bridge on Sunday to see the contestants whooosh past on their way to the course.
Greets to all
